Builders Weekend Preview Jan. 11-13; MLK Classic and VA Duals

Men's Basketball

The Builders will host the MLK Classic Jan. 11-13 at the Apprentice School Athletic Center.  The Apprentice School will welcome Stratford University (VA), Florida National University, and Mid-Atlantic Christian University (NC) this weekend to take part in the Classic.  The Builders are still looking for their first win of the season.  They are led by leading scorer Romello Anderson, who is averaging 25.2 points per game. The MLK Classic Schedule is listed below:

The Apprentice School will take part in the 38th Annual VA Duals this Friday, Jan. 12 and Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Hampton Coliseum.  The Builders will compete in the American College Division and will square off against 3rd seeded Camden County College out New Jersey on Friday at 3:00 PM on Mat 1.  A Builder win would advance them to the next round on Saturday at 2:00 PM on Mat 6.  A loss would see the team wrestle again on Friday at 5:00 PM on Mat 6.    

Ferrum is the top seed, King is the 2nd seed, Camden County is the 3rd seed, and Liberty University is ranked 4th.  The other teams in the American College Division include Alderson Broaddus, Greensboro, and Averett.

2018 VA Dual Schedule


Women's Basketball

The Lady Builders will host Voorhees College on Saturday, Jan. 13th at 12:00 pm.  The Lady Builders are 4-7 on the year and will be back in action for the first time in 2018.  The team is led by Ylexzis Traeger, who is averaging 18.9 points per game.
