Freshman Dory Fields and sophomore Jonathan Dehoux were named on
Friday to the 2008 Virginia Sports Information Directors
Association Second Team All-State College Division baseball team.
Fields, a freshman rigger apprentice from Virginia Beach, was a
first team USCAA All-American who ended the season hitting .335 and
was second on the team in hits with 53. He had 14 multi-hit
games and nine multi-RBI games. Fields had three hits in a
game four times and drove in three runs in a game on five
occasions.
Dehoux, a sophomore maintenance electrician apprentice from
Mathews, was a first team USCAA All-American and was a USCAA
All-Tournament selection. He ended the year with a school
record 72 hits and 51 RBIs. Dehoux had 23 multi-hit games, 13
multi-RBI games, hit for the cycle going 4-for-5 with a season best
six RBIs against Spalding University.
