The Apprentice School men's basketball team learned on Tuesday
that they are the #2-seed for the upcoming U.S. Collegiate Athletic
Association Men's Division I Championships starting on Feb. 28 at
Ninowski Rec Center on the campus of Rhema Bible College in Broken
Arrow, Okla.
The Builders (14-11) will open the tournament by facing the host
Rhema Bible College Eagles at 8 pm CST on February 28. A win
in that matchup will pit them against the winner of third-seeded
Robert Morris-Springfield and sixth-seeded Oakwood University
Ambassadors on February 29 also at 8 pm CST. A loss will put
them against the loser of Robert Morris-Springfield and Oakwood at
10 am CST on February 29.
Apprentice School has had success in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
winning the 2002-03 USCAA Nationals by defeating Rhema Bible 80-60
for the championship. The next season the Builders finished
third going 2-1 in the event and won a regular season matchup with
Rhema 88-78. Rhema has won the last two USCAA National
Championships.
The Builders close out their regular season schedule this
weekend with the Great Ships Classic on Friday night.
Apprentice School faces NAIA power Voorhees College (17-7) at 8 pm
on Friday. The next day they will face USCAA member
Williamson Trade School at 4 pm.
