The Apprentice School wrestling team will open the 30th annual
Virginia Duals American College Division Tournament against
third-seeded Nassau Community College (NY) at 11 am on
Friday. Nassau is the defending junior college
(non-scholarship division) national champions.
A win in that match will put the Builders in a 2 pm semifinal
against the winner of Stevens Tech (NJ) and second-seeded Anderson
University (SC). A loss against Nassau will put the Builders
into a 1 pm matchup against the loser of Stevens Tech-Anderson.
The top-seeded team in the American Division is NCAA Division II
power Pitt-Johnstown who is ranked fourth in the latest national
poll. They'll face Davidson College, while the other half of
that brackets has fourth-seeded Millersville University against
SUNY-Brockport.
