General Information - Game Day

Visiting Team Locker Room

Is the side of the gymnasium closest to the parking lot.  It is supplied with one cooler of water, cups, ice chest with ice bags, taping table and hydrocollator unit.

Visitor Bench Area

Is the side of the field opposite the press box and supplied with ice, coolers, and a water source only.

Tickets

Please contact Sports Information Director Jeff Egnot (757-688-0113) about your complimentary tickets.

Field Passes/Media Passes

All requests for photographers and media credentials should be made to the Sports Information Office a minimum of four days prior to game day.  These passes will be available at the "Will Call" gate.  Note: NO tripods or monopods will be allowed on the sidelines.

Field Set Up

Your pre-game warm-up area is the end closest to the scoreboard.

Game Stats

Halftime stats will be provided.  Final stats will be available 20-30 minutes after the game in your locker room area.

Filming and Coaches Box

The visiting coaches room in the press box is the room on the side closest to the scoreboard.  Filming is done on top of the press box.

Additional Notes

NO boom boxes in locker room

A team escort will be made available to meet the bus at the main gate entrance to the athletic field parking lot if you call ahead to Associate AD Mark Tomlin at 757-303-8947.

Athletic Training Clinic

Location

Upon entering the Apprentice School Gymnasium, the Athletic Training Clinic is located in the front, left corner of the gym across from the bleachers. The clinic will be open 2 hours before the start of all home competitions. Water, ice and water bottles will be set-up for visiting team use during contests.

Modalities

Visiting teams traveling without a certified athletic trainer will be permitted to use ice and hydrocollator packs within the clinic. A visiting certified athletic trainer can utilize ultrasound, electrical stimulation and whirlpool for treatments as needed. Athletic training students must provide a signed prescription from a physician and/or certified athletic trainer prior to modality use. The Apprentice School Sports Medicine staff will not administer ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or whirlpool to visiting student-athletes due to time constraints.

All visiting teams traveling without a certified athletic trainer or athletic training students must provide their own taping supplies. Emergency supplies including crutches, splints, and an AED are also available.
