APEX, N.C. - The Apprentice School men's basketball team lost its first New South Athletic Conference game in program history in a 99-83 defeat at Blue Lights Tuesday night.
Blue Lights shot 48 percent from distance in the first half to jump out to a 12 point lead by halftime. The Thoroughbreds extended their lead to as many as 24 early in the second half before the Builders went on a run, cutting the lead to 11 midway through the second half. BLC withstood the pressure and held on to get the win in conference play.
Donovan Means led the Builders with 25 points, while
Karree Smith added 20.
Adrion Wall had 12 on the night. Kalil Baker had 33 for BLC to lead all scorers.
The Builders will be back in action Saturday at home against Johnson & Wales at 2 p.m.
