MONACA, Pa. - The Apprentice School women's basketball team went cold from the field in a 66-38 loss to Penn State DuBois Sunday afternoon at the PSU Beaver Tip-Off Classic.
After
Carlee Baidy hit the first bucket of the game right off the tip, the Nittany Lions went on a 25-10 run to finish out the first quarter. The defenses clamped down in the second quarter with the two sides combining for just 18 points, but PSU DuBois continued to stretch their lead little by little before an 18-7 fourth quarter put the game away.
Dajanelle Linton-Robinson continued her double-double streak to start her collegiate career, netting a game-high 14 points to go with 16 rebounds.
Nyla Jackson added 11 points.
The Builders hit just 2-of-16 three pointers in the game and just 22.2 percent of all shots from the floor.
Apprentice has a pair of exhibition games upcoming next week, starting with a trip to Elizabeth City State Thursday evening.
