NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School Department of Athletics and the Virginia Peninsula Community College Department of Athletics have partnered up once again to hold a Toy Drive for their annual matchup in men's basketball action.

The game is set for December 14 at 6 p.m. at The Apprentice School. Fans that bring in an unwrapped, unopened toy will receive free admission into the game. All the toys brought in and donated will be sent to the JK Foundation and the Alive Church Dream Center to support their Christmas initiatives.

The game will also serve as a social for the Apprentice Athletics Booster Club. Booster Club members will get exclusive access to the social area above the court.

Last year, the Builders and Gators came together and donated over 250 toys to the GiveBack Foundation, and the goal is to bring in even more for the second annual drive.

During the week leading up to the event, boxes will be out at The Apprentice School for those who are unable to make it to the game but would still like to donate toys to the initiative.
