NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School women's basketball team fell behind early but stormed back to defeat Virginia Peninsula CC in the home finale Tuesday evening, 72-49.
The Gators hit the first three shots of the game to take a 6-0 lead, but the Builders answered to lead by as many as 28 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.
Jada Bryant finished with a game high 22 points and nine rebounds.
Jada Eleby had a double-double of 14 points and 18 boards, while
Nyla Jackson had 13.
The season ends Saturday as the Builders head to Christendom.
