BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Apprentice School men's basketball team won its USCAA Consolation Game Wednesday afternoon by taking down Bryant & Stratton - Buffalo, 95-70.
The Builders led for the majority of the game with the Bobcats only holding a two-point lead just 90 seconds into the contest. From there, the offense exploded, shooting 49 percent from the floor in the win.
Wayne Hedgepeth led the Builders with a game-high 24 points, including a perfect 10-for-10 performance at the charity stripe, giving him the record for best free throw percentage in a single game in program history. Charles Holiday was 9-for-9 in a game against UNC Pembroke back in 2003.
Monte Rudolph had 20 points, including five made threes, while
Jahlil Hope had 14.
Donovan Means recorded a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds, adding five assists and three steals along the way.
The Builders finish the season 17-9 as the NSAC Champions for the third time in four years.
