Career: In 2018, He ranks in the top five of many USCAA statistical categories including; second in home runs (10), first in runs scored (50), first in total bases (98), and third in hits (68). He stole 18 bases this season and recorded 41 RBIs, ranking him ninth in steals and seventh in RBIs. Won USCAA Player of the Year, USCAA First Team All-American and Leading Hitter and named to the VaSID All-State First Team. In 2019, he was named to the USCAA All-Academic Team.
2017-18: As a transfer in his sophomore season, Burcham played all 48 games, had 173 at bats resulting the teams second highest hits at 68. Had the team high of 13 doubles, and 10 home-runs. Recorded 41 RBI's, 20 stolen bases and finished the season with .393 batting average.
2018-19: Played in 42 games and had 154 at bats resulting in 60 hits, 16 doubles and 3 home runs. Recorded 3 homeruns, had 44 RBI's and 8 stolen bases. Finished his junior season with a .390 attin average.
2019-20: In his third season as a Builder, he played in 17 games, had 62 at bats resulting in 17 hits. Recorded 1 homerun and had 11 RBI's. Finished the season with a .274 batting average.
Maxwell is a graduate of Grassfield High School in Chesapeake, VA. He was a four year varsity starter on the baseball team, where he earned MVP (10th, 12th grade), 2nd Team All-District (10th grade), 1st Team All-Conference (11th grade, 12th grade) and led his team in all offensive stats (10th, 11th, and 12th grade).
In his career with the Builder's, Maxwell was awarded the 2018 USCAA Player of the Year.
