Biography

2021-22: National Runner-Up.  After falling one win short of All-American honors twice, Passo had an incredible National Tournament as the 10th seed, upsetting the #7, #3 and #2 seeds on his way to the finals. 6th place New Standard Invite, 5th MAC. 23-12 season record and led the team with 14 pins. 52 career pins already 4th most in school history.

2019-20: Advanced to blood-round at NCWA National Championships, one win shy of All-American honors before Apprentice withdrew from the tournament due to COVID-19 concerns.  Only loss at National Tournament was to the eventual Champion, whom he was leading 8-7 before being pinned with short time.  USCAA Champ. MAC runner-up.

2018-19:  Led the team with 23 pins.  Fell one win short of All-American, dropping a close decision to teammate Steven Francisco.  Sealed Apprentice’s upset win over McDaniel College in the final bout.  34-12 season record.  Mid-Atlantic Conference 3rd.  USCAA Champion.  Builder Invitational Champion.  Waynesburg Invitational 4th.  Star City Invitational 5th.
