The Apprentice School

A prominant firgure in Hampton Roads baseball, Denton served 16 season as an assistant coach, working with pitchers and hitters.  In 2016, he will serve a new role as recruiter and program liason. 

Denton, who coached Bryan Cave at Kecoughtan High School, was the baseball coach at Kecoughtan where he recorded 365 victories. He was also an assistant coach at Christopher Newport University in the late 1990s.

He now enjoys the retired life and spending time with his grand children.  Denton was recognized by Kecoughtan High School in April of 2013 when they renamed its baseball field Buddy Denton Field.
