CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The fourth quarter was the difference for the Apprentice School women's basketball team as they fell Saturday at Johnson & Wales, 64-51.
After trailing by nine at halftime, the Builders stormed back in the third quarter to cut the lead all the way down to two at the end of the period. The Wildcats answered back, however, in the fourth quarter, holding Apprentice to just four points in the final 10 minutes to get the win.
Jayla Stratton led the way for Apprentice with 12 points, while
Amaya Ray added 11 off the bench.
The Builders will next take on Berkeley Friday night at 7:30 p.m. in Newport News.
