VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Apprentice School wrestling team came out victorious in the Sword and Hammer Invitational this weekend.
Six Builders won their respective weight classes, including
Dillon Messick at 133,
Jordan Robins at 141,
Bruno Alves at 149,
AJ Deutel at 174,
David McElravy, Jr., at 184 and
Matthew Henson at 197.
Five other Apprentice wrestlers earned runner-up, including Nevaeh Lee-Hannah in the women's section,
Josh Seaton at 174,
Landon Kissell at 165,
David Norris at 149 and
Nathan Gipson at 125.
The Builders had 174 team points, nearly 100 more than second place Marymount. Toledo, East Carolina and RPI rounded out the top five teams in the event.
Apprentice will be back in action at home on February 2 as they play host to East Carolina in a dual starting at 4:30 p.m.
