SUFFOLK - The Apprentice School golf team won its opener this past weekend over MACU.

Grant Swanger, playing as an individual, shot the low round of 80 at Sleepy Hole, while Dylan Liakos shot an 81 to finish in second. Jeremy Carr shot 82 to tie for third place.

The Builders shot 349 as a team, beating the Mustangs by 18 shots on the day.

Apprentice will hit the course again on Saturday for a tri-match at SUNY-Delhi.
