NEWPORT NEWS - Despite a sluggish start to the game, The Apprentice School women's basketball team blew past Tidewater CC Wednesday night, 76-35.
The Builders never trailed in the game, going on a 15-0 run that spanned through the first quarter break to put the game away early. Apprentice led by 25 at halftime and by as many as 45 in the fourth quarter.
Ronnice Berry led all scorers with 26 points, notching her third double-double of the year with 11 rebounds as well.
Joy Wright added 19 points.
The Builders will play Friday to kick off the Great Ships Classic.
