Box Score 2 EVENT: 2016 USCAA Small College World Series
LOCATION: East Field Park in Glens Falls, New York
DATES: May 8th-12th, 2016
The Apprentice School baseball team, seeded 4th, opens play Monday night, May 9th at 9:00 p.m. when they take on the 5th seed from Robert Morris University-Peoria. This will be RMU-Peoria's first trip to the USCAA Small College World Series.
RMU-Peoria is located in Peoria, IL and brings in a record of 14-15. RMU-Peoria is led offensively by Dakota Carter, who is tied for third in home runs in the USCAA.
The Apprentice School, defending champions, come into the tournament winning their last 11 of 14 games. This will mark the 17th straight season the Builders baseball team has earned a bid to the USCAA Small College World Series.
Apprentice School has a very strong history in this tournament having made it to the final day of the championships in ten of the last twelve years dating back to 2004. They've finished in the top three in nine of those, highlighted by winning the 2007 and 2015 USCAA National Championships.
