Box Score Tacomo Park, MD – The Apprentice Women's Basketball team was back on the road Thursday, as they traveled to Maryland to face Washington Adventist University. The Lady Shock were coming off a big 2-point win in their last game, while the Lady Builders were looking for their first win of the season. In the Coach's Show this week, Coach Hill said this would be a tough place to play, as she recalled her own playing days going up against Washington Adventist. However, she felt her team would be prepared and ready to face the challenge head on.
Despite a strong second half, Apprentice was not able to come out of Maryland with the win. The Lady Builders would fall to the Lady Shock by a final score of 73-54, despite a strong performance from Sophomore Alena Puaauli-Pelham, who finished with 21 points, while going 5-6 from the 3-point line. Brittney Jones added 11 points, to along with a 3-4 performance from the free-throw line and Ashawnti Williams would finish with a team high 8 total rebounds.
