Box Score Hampton, VA – The Apprentice Baseball team extended its winning streak, on Friday afternoon, to seven games after sweeping visiting Castleton at Historic War Memorial Stadium. While the Builders offense has been a highlight of their win streak, today the pitching played a dominated role. Andrew Castine, Logan Mize, Tyler Winegard and Thomas Packert combined to only give up 3 runs, while striking out 16 batters in the doubleheader.
Game 1: Apprentice 4 Castleton 3
Jake Day finished 1-3 with a run
Thomas Packert went 1-3 from the plate, while driving in 2 runs on a clutch hit
Matt Phoebus was 1-3, scoring 1 run with an RBI and a double
Andrew Castine pitched 6.2 innings with 5 strikeouts
Logan Mize relived Castine to strike out the final batter
Game 2: Builders 2 Castleton 0
Thomas Packert finished 2-3 with a run
Maxwell Burcham went 2-2
Tyler Wingard and Thomas Packert combined for the shutout.

-Packert pitched 3 innings only giving up 1 hit while striking out 7 batters
