Fan Information for Basketball Games This Season

NEWPORT NEWS - The 2024-25 Apprentice School basketball season is upon us, and the season tips off tomorrow night as the men's basketball team continues their quest to defend the USCAA National Championship when they host Methodist. Below is some information that will prove useful for the season when visiting the school for a basketball game.

NNS Policies
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on all Newport News Shipbuilding property. Artificial noisemakers and electric amplifiers are not allowed in the facility. While photography is allowed from the general seating areas outside of the playing surface and sidelines, flash photography is prohibited. Only credentialed media will be allowed on the baselines to take pictures.

Tickets
Fans must purchase tickets online at GoBuilders.com. Tickets are $10 each with children 5 and under getting free admission. There will be no credit card reader at the gate or cash exchanged at the gate. Fans must purchase online either ahead of time to speed up entry to the stadium or at the gate via their phone. Gates will open 90 minutes prior to kickoff each home game.

Booster Club Passes
Apprentice Athletics Booster Club members either already have or will have their passes emailed to them. The passes have been emailed out for everyone who has purchased a booster club membership as of 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. As a reminder, memberships must be purchased under the new membership structure, unless previously enrolled in payroll deduction. If purchased after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, fans can show their receipt of AABC membership to get their free entry.

Parking
Fans should park on the fourth and fifth floors of the parking deck located on the 31st Street side of The Apprentice School. Entrance to the parking garage can be found on the back side of the garage on West Avenue. Street parking is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis on Washington Avenue. All parking on the side of the building next to the school is reserved for visiting team, officials and game day staff. The fan entrance will be on the opposite side of the building from the parking garage.

Concessions/Restrooms
The concession stand will be open for every home game this season and is located in the hallway behind the visitor's bench. Restrooms can be found in or through the same hallway as the concession stand.
