NEWPORT NEWS - Eight players from The Apprentice School football team were named to the New South Athletic Conference All-Conference teams after the league's inaugural season, the conference office announced Friday afternoon.
T.K. Petty,
Kendall Hunt,
Brian Lucas,
Caleb Davidson and
Wilberto Sanchez were each named to the first team.
Chase Gayness,
Logan Eastman and
Baker Green earned second team accolades.
The Builders finished the 2025 season with a 5-4 record, going 3-1 in NSAC play and finishing in second place in the North Division behind the conference champions in Clayton State, who defeated Lighthouse in the league championship in November.
Clayton State's Sire Hardaway was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while the Lakers also had Darrell Bland, Jr., named Special Teams Player of the Year. Lighthouse's Kemontre Current was awarded Defensive Player of the Year.
The teams were selected and voted on by the league's head coaches.
