NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Logan Eastman won the 174 pound division at the Builder Invitational to highlight The Apprentice School's second place team finish in the home event Saturday.

Eastman pinned his opening round opponent before grinding out decisions in the quarterfinals (9-8) and semifinals (4-0), setting up a match against Clemson's Gabe Silverman in the championship. After a takedown in the first period, Eastman got another takedown in the second period and got Silverman to his back to win by fall and claim the championship of the division.

Lucas Sumners finished as the runner-up at 184 pounds. Sumners won his first two matches by fall to advance to the championship, where he fell in a very tight 14-8 decision to Marymount's Julian Schott.

Aidan Vasquez took third place at 133 pounds. After a tech fall in the opening round, Vasquez ran into the eventual division champion in the second round, falling in a 6-3 decision. Vasquez rebounded quickly, winning three matches to claim third place, two by fall and one by tech fall. DJ Uribes also claimed third place at heavyweight. After getting pinned in his first match of the day, Uribes bounced back with two wins in a row, one pin and one by fall to claim third place in the division.

Landon Yoder claimed fourth place at 141 pounds. Yoder made it all the way to the semifinal round, winning by 7-3 decision in the opening round before a tech fall in the quarterfinals. After dropping his semifinal match, he answered with a 9-2 decision win over his opening round opponent before dropping the third place match by fall.

Amari Williams finished fifth at 149, going 2-2 on the day. Jack Landauer went 3-3, finishing sixth at 157. Owen Cherry went 4-1 at 165.
