PITTSBURGH - The Apprentice School men's basketball team will look to win their third straight USCAA National Tournament as they claimed the No. 6 seed, announced by the national office in the selection show Tuesday morning.
The Builders, fresh off winning their third New South Athletic Conference Tournament Championship, will take on third-seeded Bryant & Stratton - Syracuse on March 3. Game time will be announced in the coming days.
Apprentice will head to Buffalo, New York, for the tournament, starting on March 2 with the skills competition and banquet, before tipping off the next day. Should the Builders win Tuesday, they would take on the winner of second-seeded Southeastern Illinois or seventh-seeded Bryant & Stratton - Ohio on Thursday in the semifinals. The national championship is set for 8:30 p.m. on Friday at SUNY Erie's Burt Flickinger Arena.
On the other side of the bracket, Bloomfield claimed the top seed and will take on eighth-seeded Atlantis. Bryant & Stratton Buffalo is the No. 5 seed and will battle fourth-seeded North American in the opening round.
