ASHLAND, Va. –  The Apprentice School had six apprentice-athletes named to the 2025-26 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team, unveiled on Tuesday from the organization.

Builders named to the Academic All-State Team include Kyle Deguzman (men's wrestling), Logan Eastman (men's wrestling/football), Chase Gayness (football), NeOndra Kelly (women's basketball), Tyler Memory (golf) and Skylar Schaefer (women's wrestling),

Every college and university in the state, including NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, USCAA and independents had the opportunity to submit student-athletes cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher to be honored. 

A total of 215 student-athletes from 36 schools were nominated.

VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
