NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School Department of Athletics announced Friday the six new inductees into the Apprentice Athletics Hall of Fame. These six make up the school's sixth induction class.
The class will include
Micah Amrozowicz (wrestling), Dr. Steve Apostoles (contributor), Paul Hoffmann (football coach/contributor), Kenny Selfe (football/basketball/track), Conky Sorrell (baseball) and Wayne Vick (basketball/baseball).
The six will be formally inducted on October 11, 2024, at the Sixth Annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, set to take place at the Holiday Inn Omni Newport News. More information about the induction ceremony, including ticket prices and sponsorship opportunities, will be announced later this summer.
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony highlights Hall of Fame weekend, which includes a Hall of Fame Golf Tournament to be held at Sleepy Hole Golf Course and the Hall of Fame football game on Saturday, October 12, against Maine Maritime.
Apprentice Athletics will spotlight each inductee throughout the summer months to give fans an insight into the contributions and careers of all six inductees.
