PITTSBURGH - The Apprentice School baseball team earned the No. 3 seed in the upcoming USCAA National Tournament, the association announced in the bid show Monday afternoon.

The Builders will take on sixth-seeded Florida National in the opening round of the tournament Monday. The game will be broadcast on the USCAA Sports Network.

Penn State Mont Alto was given the top seed after defeating Penn State DuBois in the PSUAC Championship Sunday. DuBois earned the No. 2 seed. MACU was named the fourth seed and will take on fifth-seeded Salem Monday morning in the opening round.

Penn State Schuylkill, Central Penn, Central Maine CC and Miami Middletown rounded out the 10 teams in the field as the seventh through 10th seeds, respectively.

The tournament kicks off with the awards banquet Sunday morning, followed by the home run derby Sunday night at Showers Field. The derby is free to attend and will also be carried live on the USCAA Sports Network.
